Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight round contest which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.
British boxer Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the pair met personally to build hype for the upcoming boxing match.
Ex two time world title holder Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Boxer's Mentality
"I plan to injure his face and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," Joshua, 35, declared.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I'm going to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my goal."
Respectful Exchange
Despite these statements, a composed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually recognized for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul instead criticized former Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian rejected a fight offer.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at British opponent Fury - and declined a large bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua said.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Fighter
Despite declaring he will damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he stated.
Paul's History
Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.
He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in last year.
Commercial Attraction
Still, the novice is still one of the sport's greatest commercial attractions, frequently receiving massive paydays.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28-year-old forecast a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would prevent the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently in the works for 2026.
"It will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul declared.
Size Disparity
As the two fighters participated in the usual stare-down, with their physical disparity on show, it emphasized just how improbable this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is truly happening.
